What makes this different?
This is Not Our Core Range
Reserve Series
Equinox is the third release in our Reserve Series, a collection of small-batch seasonal releases that gives us the freedom to explore what else HOPR can be.
Every season, we change the hops, ingredients or process to create a different expression of HOPR.
Autumn gave us Golden Hour. Winter brought Ember.
For Spring, we’re doing something we’ve never done before.
What's new?
For Equinox, we’ve combined aromatic hops with white grape tannins to explore a different kind of flavour, structure and finish.
We’re not trying to make wine. We’re taking inspiration from a craft that has spent centuries thinking about aroma, structure, balance and how a drink develops in the glass, then asking what we can learn from it.
The result is still unmistakably HOPR. Just a completely new expression of it.
what to expect?
Equinox has a brighter, fruitier character than our previous Reserve releases, with an aromatic lift from the hops and subtle structure from the white grape tannins.
It’s crisp and refreshing, but with enough character to make you slow down and notice what’s in the glass.
And rather than telling you exactly which fruits you’re supposed to taste, we’re leaving that part up to you.
Nelson Sauvin
New Zealand
Nelson Sauvin is the foundation of Equinox’s aromatic character.
It’s a distinctive New Zealand hop known for an expressive character that has often drawn comparisons with Sauvignon Blanc. That made it a natural starting point for our wine-inspired Spring experiment.
For Equinox, we’re using it to bring lift, complexity and fruit-forward aroma rather than simply more bitterness.
Motueka
New Zealand
Motueka brings brightness and balance.
Its fresh citrus character helps lift the more expressive Nelson Sauvin and keeps Equinox feeling crisp and refreshing.
Together, the two create a bright aromatic base for the additional structure brought by the white grape tannins.
